Daytona Beach City Island Library Offers A Workshop for Alzheimer Caregivers

Daytona City Island LibraryMy mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's 6 years before her passing on April 19, 2011. My sister and I are quite familiar with the role of caregiver.

Although medication helped to slow the progression of my mother's disease process she suffered the devastating effects of Alzheimers for 5 years.
 
Caregivers for someone who has Alzheimer's disease can be very overwhelming and stressful. It's important to learn to how to care for those affected as well as how to improve the quality of life of the caregiver.

The Alzheimer's Association of Central and North Florida will be hosting Living with Alzheimer’s: A Workshop for Caregivers.

The workshop will offer information and answers to questions about the stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

When: Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 1 pm to 5 pm
