SPRING EVENT IN PORT ORANGE March 5th - 8th 2015

Spring Fair takes place in early March at Port Orange City Center. Spring Fair attracts almost 30,000 attendees over a four day period. Free crafts for everyone to participate in on Saturday and Sunday, along with some delish food vendors over the two day weekend as well. Pony Rides, petting zoos and fun activities are what the kids will enjoy at this event.

USDA Rural Housing Map Changes And Eligibility Areas

USDA Rural Housing Changes

I wanted to pass along some very important information regarding changes to the USDA Rural Housing Maps and Eligibility Areas.  For a few years USDA has been telling us they were going to change their eligibility maps.   Although scheduled to take place a few times; that change did not take place and was pushed off until it finally happened last week. 

As of February 2nd 2015, USDA Rural Housing changed their maps for Eligible financing areas.  For as long as I have been in the business, which is about 14 years, the maps for this area have remained unchanged. 

We could do USDA financing for most properties west of Interstate 95, and all of Flagler County.  Now, these areas in Volusia County will be pushed farther west,…

A developer known as Tanger Factory Outlet Centers from Greenville, North Carolina has filed a document to build an "outlet mall". This request is being considered along with the city's planning boards consideration to change land use for the 10 buildings and 380,000 sq feet of retail space needed.

I-95 Widening Project Impacts Port Orange Area

Update on the status of the I-95 widening project that will impact the Port Orange Area

This project involves widening Interstate 95 (I-95) from four-lanes to six lanes from north of State Road (SR) 44 to north of US 92 (International Speedway Boulevard). The southern project limit will tie in to the ongoing I-95 widening project to the south (from south of SR 406 to north of SR 44). This Design Build project also reconstructs the I-95 Interchange leading to and from Interstate 4 (I-4) and US 92 which will increase mobility and connectivity.
